Crystal Palace-Chelsea: team news and predicted line-ups

  • Kieran Hepworth
Chelsea travel to Selhurst Park this afternoon hoping to inflict Crystal Palace’s eighth successive league defeat of the season. The Blues are looking to recover their form after defeat to Man City prior to the international break.

TEAM NEWS:
The appointment of Roy Hodgson has yet to revitalise a Palace side that remain goalless and winless. Wayne Hennessey is doubtful but Wilfried Zaha could make a much-needed return. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is ineligible to face his parent club.

Antonio Conte will be without the services of duo Álvaro Morata and N’Golo Kanté, both injured on international duty. As a result, Michy Batshuayi should start. Diego Costa has finally negotiated an exit from Stamford Bridge whilst Danny Drinkwater is unavailable with a calf injury. Eden Hazard will be available for an otherwise well-stocked Chelsea side.

PROBABLE STARTING LINE-UPS:

Crystal Palace (4-5-1) Speroni; Fosu-Mensah, Tomkins, Sakho, van Aanholt; Zaha, Cabaye, Milivojevic, Puncheon, Townsend; Sako.

Chelsea (3-4-2-1) Courtois; Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill; Moses, Bakayoko, Fabregas, Alonso; Pedro, Hazard; Batshuayi.
