PSG star defender Dani Alves has opened up in a recent interview about his desire to play in the Premier League in the near future.

Alves, who joined Paris Saint-Germain from Juventus this past summer, left Barcelona in 2016 for a free transfer to the Turin-based club, where his stint lasted just a single season but he succeeded in receiving plaudits for his performances there.

The FourFourTwo magazine interviewed Alves about his decision to leave Barcelona and Juventus and his decision to leave Turin after just a single season. He was also asked about his move to PSG and the decision to turn Manchester City down.

He said: “It was more logical to choose Paris than Manchester on this occasion, but I do not hide my admiration for Pep and my will to play in the Premier League in the future "

Talking of his decision to join Juventus, Alves said: “I had already taken the decision to go to Juventus without looking around too much. It was not easy to be in Turin to see my children in Barcelona . Also for my partner it was harder to find work because there were so many opportunities for her in Turin. There were so many things to consider, and they brought me to PSG.”

He continued: “Guardiola was the main reason. In the end, there was an opportunity to go to PSG where there were many friends, in an incredible city and in a club that has great potential. I know I can give some positive things to this club that goes beyond football.”
