De Rossi names Man Utd legend among his role models

Daniele De Rossi has released an interview with Italy national team’s Twitter account. The Italian talked about his International career as well as his role models when he was a young and promising footballer.

“I made my first appearance in Italy youth teams when I was 16. It was a dream, something very difficult to achieve but I’m lucky enough to have been playing for the national team for so many years. I’m feeling like I’ve done something extraordinary. Think about Buffon who did the same for 20 years.”

“Gigi has made history.”

As for his role models, De Rossi named three of them: “I’d say Roy Keane, Pep Guardiola and Edgar Davids.”
