It was a weekend to forget on the field for French champions Paris Saint-Germain. A 3-0 defeat away to Montpellier has heaped more pressure on new boss Unai Emery and left some of the clubs top stars, Cavani, Di Maria, Lucas, Matuidi, Krychowiak and Thiago Silva to face the wrath of the country’s sporting press.
 

There could however, be a simpler explanation as to why the club from the capital were so easily brushed aside and that is because staying in the same hotel as Emery’s expensively assembled squad, were the finalists of the 2017 Miss France contest. The annual competition, featuring 30 of the most beautiful woman in the country will see the city of Montpellier host the final on December 17. To add more intrigue to the tale, the 30 finalists were also present at the Mosson Stadium to witness the current champion’s slump to an embarrassing defeat.
