Diego Costa move takes a tumble as Atletico eye Aubameyang

Chelsea forward Diego Costa has been linked with a move out of the west-London club after a disagreement with manager Antonio Conte, according to reports in Spain via ther Daily Star.

Conte text Costa several weeks ago, stating that the Spanish striker needed to find a new side, despite the player scoring 20 goals in the Pensioners’ Premier League winning season.

The 28-year-old had been rumoured to go back to his former club Atletico Madrid but the transfer had been dealt a serious blow, as the La Liga side were handed a complicated transfer ban.

Yet another hurdle has surfaced, with Atletico manager Diego Simeone now turning his attention to Borussia Dortmund star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese forward, also 28-years-old, netted an impressive 31 goals in Bundesliga last season, making him the league’s highest scoring player.

And now Simeone wants to bring the goal-getter to Madrid in order to mount a serious title challenge against the rival powerhouse duo of Real Madrid and Barcelona, leaving Costa possibly facing another year at Stamford Bridge under Conte.
