Donnarumma breaks into tears as he tells friends: ‘I’ve never said I want to leave AC Milan’

Gigio Donnarumma has decided not to sign a contract extension with AC Milan sparking anger among AC Milan fans who thought the 18-year-old goalkeeper could have become an icon of the rossoneri. Truth is, Donnarumma and his agent are not going to put pen to paper on a new deal yet but recent reports in Italy suggest the two parties could carry on negotiations over the next few weeks.

A report of today’s edition of La Repubblica claims the promising goalkeeper is not very sad about the situation that has been created at AC Milan. The 18-year-old is reported to be so frustrated that he is said to have broken into tears telling some of his closest friends that he has never said that he wants to leave AC Milan. "Why are they treating me this way?", Donnarumma reportedly asked.

If he doesn’t sign a contract extension, however, his future won’t be at the club as his current deal expires in 2018 which means he’d be free to choose his next team from January joining another club as a free agent next summer.
