Dzeko wanted by Inter and EPL club last summer says agent
The Bosnia International, however, struggled to find the net last season and many thought he would have left Roma last summer after his first disappointing spell at the Olimpico.
Talking with gazzamercato.it, the player’s agent Silvano Martina has revealed that his client was wanted by Inter, one Chinese and one English Premier League club last summer.
“They all wanted him, Inter were ready to invest big money on him. I think he was the chosen one to replace Icardi, if the Argentinean had to leave.”
“AS Roma, however, did not want to sell him, nor Dzeko wanted to leave. The club would have only sold him if the player had asked to leave.”
“A Chinese club offered € 30 million to AS Roma and € 15 million a year to Dzeko, but he wanted to stay at Roma to prove that he’s a great player.”
“If he keeps scoring, AS Roma can win the Serie A title this season.”
