€60m Man Utd target happy he chose PSG
Targeted by Manchester United and Barcelona, the star defender will continue to flourish alongside Thiago Silva.
“I’m very happy to have extended at PSG. I’ve returned to Paris in a calm state of mind,” the 23-year-old told PSG TV.
The former Roma player was the subject of a €60 million offer from the Red Devils, the second they’d made for him. Both were rejected.
“I love life here, and I have my friends, too,” the Brazilian continued.
“I’m happy here. Now, I need to focus on working and doing everything possible for the club. I hope that we get to spend many more years together”.
A former Roma player, he was signed in 2014 by PSG for €31.5m, having played a starring role over the last two seasons alongside Thiago Silva, enough to earn regular call-ups from his country.
