England international full-back Kyle Walker is confident his big money move to Manchester City from Spurs, will happen in time for him to make his debut for his new club, against Spurs in a friendly in the US next month.
 
The 27-year-old wants to move closer to his family in his hometown of Sheffield and reports in The Mirror claim that he has told close friends that he hopes to be unveiled as another of Pep Guardiola’s new signings very soon.
 
The two clubs however, are still way apart in negotiations with Spurs chief Daniel Levy holding out for his original valuation of £50M. Despiet this, the journal expects the deal to be finalised when the transfer window officially opens on July 1.
 
Spurs are due to meet Man City on July 29 in Tennessee as part of the International Champions Cup when Walker hope he’ll be ready to face his current employers.
