EURO 2016: Daniele De Rossi set to miss Germany clash

Time to focus on the Germany clash now for Antonio Conte and Italy. The azzurri eliminated Spain from the tournament thanks to a 2-0 win on Monday but they could struggle much more to beat World Champions Germany in the tournament’s semi-final on Sunday night.

The new is still not official, but Daniele De Rossi is in danger of missing the game against Germany due to an injury he picked up in the previous game against La Roja. The AS Roma vice-captain has been trying to recover, but in vain.

Trobule is, De Rossi’s natural replacement Thiago Motta will be suspended for the next game and Antonio Conte will have to adapt Stefano Sturaro or Marco Parolo in the role of playmaker in front of defence.
"We'll try to recover Daniele for the Germany clash", Italy national team doctor Enrico Castellacci has told media.

Conte will also have to do without Antonio Candreva who is suffering hamstring injury. The highly-rated Lazio winger had also missed the Spain clash with Alessandro Florenzi who played in his place on the right flank.
