Premier League club Everton have sacked Roberto Martinez, the Toffees have announced. The Spaniard was appointed at the beginning of the 2013-14 campaign and won 62 games out of 143 in charge of Everton (37D, 44L).
According to a host of English media, outgoing Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini and former Ajax gaffer Franck De Boer are the most likely candidates to replace Martinez on Everton’s bench from next season.
