Gennaro Gattuso has given his green light to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder star Julian Weigl, Calciomercato.com can exclusively reveal. The German midfielder is one of the most exciting prospects in Europe and Roma have also set their sights on the 23-year-old. Monchi, in fact, has already offered BVB to sign the player on loan with an option to buy.

Weigl has plenty of admirers around Europe: one of the first ones is Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. Julian Weigl is one of the best young talents of Bundesliga. Born in 1995, he has five appearances with senior Germany national team. His career at Borussia Dortmund, however, has dramatically changed within a few months. With the new coaching course, Weigl is not playing as much as he used to do under Thomas Tuchel who is now at PSG.

AC Milan are looking for midfielder reinforcements in January and Weigl could be the right person in the right moment as Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas seems to be too expensive for the Rossoneri.
