Struggling Serie A giants’ transfer plans for the upcoming winter transfer window have been exclusively learnt by CalcioMercato.

It said that Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli have already started outlining the club’s transfer plans, with the spending set to be considerably less than what was done in the summer.

The most basic idea will be hand Vincenzo Montella more options in the midfield and the Milan management believes that the current squad is good enough for the club to achieve its objectives.

Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto has interested Milan for long, but it seems as if the Czech Republic man is leaning towards a move to Watford in the Premier League, while Nicolo Barella could be a Juventus player soon.

The expected budget is said to lie in the region of 15 to 20 million euros and Milan also intent to increase their scouting work. Scouting head Stefano Luxuro is in Colombia to watch some of the players and no defensive signings will be made.

Gianluigi Donnarumma and Suso are attracting the interests of big clubs; PSG and Tottenham respectively, but there is no chance of the duo being sold in January. Patrick Cutrone too, won’t be offloaded, as Torino continue to make efforts to sign the youngster.

Mirabelli and his staff are taking advantage of the international break to watch games. He,along with a member of the staff, was present at last night’s game between the Belgian U21s side and the Cyprus U21s side.
