Exclusive: AC Milan made attempt to sign Chelsea target Aguero

AC Milan are looking for a new centre forward with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti who are being linked with a move to the San Siro. Our reporter Daniele Longo, however, reveals the rossoneri had also made an attempt to sign Sergio Aguero and provides the details of negotiations between the Serie A giants and Manchester City.

This past June, the Serie A giants contacted Manchester City to know the Argentinean’s transfer availability. Pep Guardiola, however, blocked Aguero’s exit as he wants El Kun to remain at the Etihad Stadium alongside Gabriel Jesus who, however, appears to have become a regular starter on the blue side of Manchester.
AC Milan have then turned their attention to other transfer targets with their shortlist that includes Fiorentina star Nikola Kalinic as well.

Chelsea, however, have recently shown their interest in Aguero with Antonio Conte who is ready to bid up to € 80 million to sign him. AC Milan may resume their interest in the Argentinean although, at the moment, the 29-year-old is not a striking transfer priority for the Serie A giants.
