Exclusive, AC Milan make new contacts for Genoa star: the strategy of the Rossoneri

After the refusal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, AC Milan is forced to look elsewhere to reinforce the attack. The club is looking for a different profile than the Swedish star or a second striker who can also play as a winger. A player liked very much by the club is Christian Kouame, Genoa's young starlet.

Among the clubs, there have been more than one contact. Leonardo took information directly from the Genoa general manager Giorgio Perinetti. The Rossoblu informed that Kouame's valuation is 35 million euros. Too much for Milan given the Financial Fair play restraints. But Leonardo does not give up and the contacts with the club and agent continue to find a solution to please everyone.

Work in progress. The negotiation for January is not simple but not even impossible. Genoa appreciate two Milan players that could be included in the deal as counterparts: Andrea Bertolacci and Riccardo Montolivo. Milan, for their part, hope that Preziosi will revise the evaluation of Kouame by at least ten million euros less.

The relationship between the two clubs is excellent. Leonardo is evaluating an offer of a loan with an option to buy in order to beat the competition of Roma, which, to date, is the only club to have made it clear that they want to push to sign the player in the summer, which would be a welcome solution for Genoa.
