Exclusive: AC Milan to meet Genoa over Bertolacci return

AC Milan midfielder Andrea Bertolacci is set to return to Genoa after a disappointing two-year spell at the San Siro.

Sources have told calciomercato.com that Massimiliano Mirabelli and Marco Fassone will meet Genoa President Enrico Preziosi in Lugano today to discuss the return of the Italian midfielder to the Marassi.

Preziosi has announced that he will sell Genoa in the coming hours but, at the moment, he is still in charge of transfer negotiations and identities of new Genoa owners are still unknown.

Genoa want to take Bertolacci on a free loan deal but AC Milan are pushing for the grifone to pay a small sum in order to have their former star back to the club.

The rossoneri have agreed to pay the 30% of Bertolacci’s salary, whilst Genoa will pay the remaining 70%. The player’s agent Alessandro Lucci will also meet Fassone and Mirabelli today trying to close an agreement between all the parties involved in the deal.
