EXCLUSIVE Agent: 'Sirigu will remain at PSG'

Former Palermo goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu won't be donning gloves in Serie A this season, Calciomercato.com can exclusively reveal.

Speaking to us this morning, his agent, Giovanni Branchini, explained that the Azzurri international has opted to stay at PSG and try to fight it out with current No.1 Kevin Trapp.

"We haven't received an offer capable of changing our minds, Sirigu has decided to remain here, and to change Laurent Blanc's mind and win his place back".

"PSG is the team of his life, he's very attached to the whole club, not to mention his team-mates, and that was an important factor in making his mind up".

As we reported on numerous occasions, Torino were particularly interested in replacing the inconsistent Daniele Padelli with Sirigu, and had offered him a loan till the end of the season.

"He's let Antonio Conte know of his decision, he knows that he is putting an eventual call-up to France 2016 at risk, but he feels that he can still be useful to the PSG cause, and he hopes to play more in the second half of this season".

"I would like to underline jsut how impeccably both Blanc and the club have behaved".

"His future? For the moment he will remain in Paris, then we'll see. I don't think he'll play for any other French clubs".
