Exclusive: Arsenal target Brozovic 'happy' at Inter, 'Juventus closer to him than Chelsea'

It looks like Chelsea and Arsenal will be frustrated in their attempts at recruiting Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

Speaking exclusively to our correspondent, Guglielmo Cannavale, Miroslav Bicanic confirmed that the Arsenal and Chelsea target has a €50 million release clause, but also underlined that his client also had new belief in Inter, who signed a new deal with him recently.

Bicanic was especially effusive about new Coach Stefano Pioli, claiming that predecessor Frank De Boer “didn’t understand his potential”.

“Coach Pioli is perfect for Brozovic. He gave him the chance to show his qualities, and Marcelo paid him back with good performances”.

He’s focussed on Inter, and on results. He needed a new deal as confirmation of his talent”.

It also looks like Brozovic was closer to a Serie A move than a transfer to the Premier League.

“He was closer to Juventus than Chelsea, but we’re not thinking about the past”.

“The new owners’ strategy was very important to the club in general, and to the players particularly.

“I’m sure that Inter will be great again. The new deal gave Marcelo new motivation, not to mention belief.

“No he’s not 100% yet, he can still improve a lot to become a complete midfielder, he has enough potential to become one of the best in Europe”.
