Milan are concentrating on the Coppa Italia Final against Juventus on May 21 and even if current coach Cristian Brocchi pulls off a surprise victory, he looks certain to lose his job. Current President Silvio Berlusconi seems to have lost his way with the club both on and off the pitch.
 

Once upon a time, the attributes to manage the rossoneri were clear; he must have the right ambition, rossoneri DNA and have an attacking mentality. Those characteristics have been crumbling since the departure of Carlo Ancelotti and have now all but disappeared. The current shortlist of possible replacements at Milanello reads Montella, Di Francesco and Donadoni. The latter in truth was never a serious candidate because he would be an intelligent choice for the patron.  

Depending on the mood of Berlusconi on the May 22 (or even 23 or 24) we could even see an unlikely contender step forward, someone like Marco Giampaolo. After the impending meeting in Rome against the champions, where the best they can possibly hope for is to avoid being humiliated, another summer of intrigue will begin at Milanello. With Chinese investment on the horizon, business in the transfer window will depend on how much investment is pumped into the club, but the reality is that the next owner of Milan will be a foreigner which in truth, is what Berlusconi himself has now become. Oh how the Milanese long for those days when they were the most decorated club in the world.
