EXCLUSIVE Birmingham City join race for former Inter full-back
The Saint Andrews side is chasing promotion, and is currently in eighth place, four short of the playoff places. Gary Rowett's defence is ageing to say the least, with the youngest member, Shane Lowry 26 years old.
Benedetti, 23, is also a centre-back, and could replace Paul Robinson, who is 37.
Currently with Cagliari, he is struggling to find any room with the Serie B promotion contenders.
Set to leave the club, Virtus Lanciano are working hard to bring him the former Inter and Torino youth in, and will receive a reply this weekend. We can reveal that Virtus Entella are also in the race.
