EXCLUSIVE Bosco: Juve keen on Gundogan

    • Andrea Bosco translated by M.G.
Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has just turned 40. In the five years of his leadership, the bianconeri have won the scudetto five times, the Super Cup three, the Tim Cup once and they qualified for the Champions League final. Moreover, the team is finally playing in its own stadium, the club’s financial balance is excellent and the top players are interested in moving to Turin again. Not bad for a businessman that joined a club with a €95 million’s debt.

Which was Juve’s gift for their president’s birthday? Allegri’s team has won in Rome, and is now in the fifth position, only six points away from the current leaders Inter and has gained points on both AS Roma and Napoli.

Next Sunday, Juve will host Fiorentina, who are currently in the second position. Such game comes at the right moment, and it could be the hors d’oeuvre of an important dinner.

Moreover, soon the transfer window will be opened: the bianconeri absolutely need a playmaker, to allow Marchisio to play in his natural position. Juve want Gundogan in January, it’s a difficult negotiation but –as they have told me- not impossible. There are actually five millions between Juve’s offer and Borussia’s request. The alternatives are Tielemans, Sensi and Banega.

If a playmaker won’t be signed, Allegri will give some more chances to Lemina. On the left, nobody is needed, while on the opposite flank, the only alternative to Lichtsteiner is Padoin. There are rumors about PSG, Udinese and Sassuolo players. They also told me about somebody from Holland, but I want to verify first.

Juve don’t know if Morata will leave yet, Lavezzi is farther and they are observing Embolo and Berardi. If it was up to me, after the game against Fiorentina I would make an offer to Della Valle for Bernardeschi. I would love to see a Barcelona-style trio Berardi-Dybala-Bernardeschi.
