Exclusive: former Inter boss reaches agreement with Fiorentina, announcement imminent

Fiorentina have reached an economic agreement with Stefano Pioli, sources have exclusively told calciomercato.com and the Tuscans are set to announce the former Inter boss as their new manager.

According to our sources, Fiorentina will announce the appointment of Pioli between today and tomorrow. Pioli’s contract with Fiorentina will be around € 1.2 million and his contract will expire in June 2019.

Meantime, Fiorentina have reached an agreement with Paulo Sousa and are going to cancel the Portuguese’s contract by mutual agreement.

The former Basel boss will cash in € 500.000, leaving the Franchi after two years spent in Tuscany with way too many ups and downs.

Fiorentina ended the 2016/17 campaign in 8th position failing to qualify for any European competition. Pioli’s agreement with Fiorentina gives Inter green light to appoint Luciano Spalletti who is expected to be announced as new Inter boss in the next few hours. Eusebio Di Francesco will replace him at AS Roma.
