Exclusive: Inter, Marotta draw up plans to make Modric dream come true

Serie A giants Inter Milan and the club's new CEO Beppe Marotta are already drawing up precise plans to sign Luka Modric from Real Madrid next summer.

The Croatian was very close to moving to Inter this past summer, after talks with Inter were already held and Modric was keen on a move too. But Real Madrid refused to allow Modric leave the club, after they had already lost Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane.

Calciomercato understand that Inter remain keen on Modric and Beppe Marotta is keen on making sure that the club has atleast one experienced player in every position from next season onwards, as they look to get closer to Juventus.

It is felt that Modric is the man who will do that for midfield, with Ivan Perisic being seen as that experienced player in the attacking positions.

The midfielder is keen on a move and is likely to leave Real soon. Talks had already taken place last summer, but Inter will have to start from the bottom to make the dream a reality.

Inter's attempts will be more strong next summer than they were this past summer and their intentions have grown just as much.
