EXCLUSIVE Inter tell Rolando to wait for them, need to sell Ranocchia to Milan first

More developments on the Milan - Ranocchia front.

As is well known, the Rossoneri tried to sign him this summer if Philippe Mexes joined up Fiorentina, only for the Frenchman to stay put at the San Siro.

We reported yesterday that the Diavolo was back for the former Bari centre-back, though we can exclusively reveal that their offer of a loan till the end of the season has been rejected.

Inter have FFP and cashflow considerations, and want to sell their error-prone central defender, seen below being toasted time and time again by Stefan Jovetic in training recently.

Sinisa Mihajlovic is still very interested in the player, whose hopes of moving to Liverpool have vanished, whilst fellow suitors Sampdoria are on stand-by.

What about Inter? This Ranocchia situation has prompted Sporting Director Piero Ausilio to make a call to Rolando's agent. The current OM benchwarmer left a very good impression during his loan spell at the San Siro, and is also apreciated by current manager Roberto Mancini.

The purpose of the call was, in short, to ignore his other suitors (including Samp once again) and wait on the Nerazzurri, who are hoping to finance his return to Milan once Ranocchia is shipped off.
