Exclusive: Juventus ahead of Chelsea, Spurs in race for €25m sensation

Patrik Schick wants to play a starring role at whichever club he joins, Fabrizio Romano can exclusively reveal.

We can exclusively state that Juventus were ahead of everyone else in the race, having spoken to the Czech sensation on numerous occasions in the last few days.

Recent reports indicated that Tottenham were ahead of the pack in earnest, having sent scouts to watch him on numerous occasions this season.

The Juventus, Inter and Chelsea target is worth around 25 million, but wants to play a regular role, if not a starring role. He’d want to play a useful “ace-up-the-sleeve” role, not be a benchwarmer who never gets a chance.

Juventus have received the message loud and clear, with the Bianconeri already agreeing to economic terms with the 21-year-old.

Even Inter, who initially looked to have agreed to a move on the condition that Schick would remain at the Marassi for another season, look to have given up, new technical co-ordinator Walter Sabatini saying that he “thought [Schick] was going to Juventus”.
