Exclusive: Juventus in talks to sign another South American starlet

Calciomercato exclusively understand Serie A giants Juventus are set to return to South America to shop for Atletico Paranaense left-back Renan Lodi.

The last time the bianconeri signed a South American youngster, it was Rodrigo Bentancur and its clear how that move has turned out to be a big success. The Uruguayan was brought to Turin as part of Carlos Tevez's move back to Boca Juniors in 2016.

Our correspondent Fabrizio Romano understands that Juve are set to make an attempt at signing Renan Lodi, who is one of the best young left-backs in South American left-backs today.

Fabio Paratici is known to be a keen observer of South American talents and after having watched Lodi for the last few weeks, they have began talks over a possible capture of the Brazilian.

Paranaense are demanding a fee of about 15 million euros, but Juve are trying to lower down the demand and they plan on loaning the player out to another Serie A club to one year and six months before giving him a shot in the bianconeri first team.

Talks are ongoing and Paratici is very keen.
