EXCLUSIVE: Juventus want to extend Evra’s contract

Calciomercato.com has exclusively learned Juventus want to extend Patrice Evra’s stay in Turin.

The Frenchman’s current deal at the J Stadium expires in June, but the Old Lady does not want to lose the experienced left-back and has already called the player’s agent Federico Pastorello to open contract renewal talks.

Evra, 34, is helping Alex Sandro’s growth this term, but the club told him already he’d become the back-up to the Brazilian left-back from next season, a role that Patrice Evra does not mind at all, given his age.

The player’s entourage have already requested a two-year contract extension, though the club want to extend Evra’s deal for just one year. The two parties could meet half-way with Juve offering one year contract extension with an option for another one.

The club will meet the player’s entourage in April, but it seems that Patrice Evra will be a Juventus player also in the next season.
