Exclusive: Man Utd pounce on product of Inter academy

Inter and Manchester United had been in talks for the transfer of Perisic this past summer but the Serie A giants eventually refused to sell the Croatia star despite several offers made by Manchester United. The two European giants, however, could make business again in the January window as the Red Devils are interested in signing the product of Inter academy Davide Merola.

Merola, 17, is a talented striker who, however, is struggling with game time this season as the likes of Colidio and Odgaard have been claiming the spotlight so far in the current camapaign.

Merola’s agent, a certain Mino Raiola, is on very good terms with Manchester United and their good relationship could help Merola to leave Inter and move to the Old Trafford in the winter transfer window.

Merola is looking for more game time in order to finally make debut in senior football but Inter don’t want to sell him. Our Inter reporter Pasquale Guarro, however, can exclusively report that the Red Devils will soon make an attempt to take the Italian to England.
