EXCLUSIVE Romano: Milan to swoop for Italian hitman if Niang goes to Leicester

Milan are facing a huge dilemma. Ever since Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri decided to splash out €16 million for Frenchman M'Baye Niang, the Rossoneri front office is seriously pondering all of its options. The former Montpellier player will meet his coach today.

For Adriano Galliani and Sinisa Mihajlovic, the prospect of selling someone for a €12 million profit is interesting. For a start, it would allow the Rossoneri to badger Ajax again for Anwar El Ghazi (who we said was ready to move to Milan two weeks ago), for whom the Lancers want at least 10 million. The Diavolo, on the other hand, wasn't willing to go past €7 million, but was willing to kick in some bonuses. It is important to note that, without this injection of cash from England, the El Ghazi deal won't be possible.

The youngster has already agreed to terms with AC Milan, but he would need the Eredivisie club to agree on a sale price.

That said, the Diavolo is planning a swoop in case the El Ghazi situation doesn't improve: remember when they were very close to selling Luiz Adriano? Well, they'd already surveyed Leonardo Pavoletti, and were ready to pay exactly €16 million for the successful Genoa hitman.

We all know what happened next... but none of us know for sure what will happen in the next couple of days. Stay tuned in for more updates!
