EXCLUSIVE Romano: Napoli make mega offer for Atalanta prospect Grassi
Though the machine is perfectly oiled, the Partenopei are talking of reinforcing their midfield. Aurelio De Laurentiis had initialy though of Bayer midfielder Kramer, only for the Bundesliga side to turn down his advances. Napoli will be back for him this summer.
We here at calciomercato.com can, however, exclusively reveal that the Azzurri have made a €10 million offer for Atalanta's latest midfield star, Alberto Grassi. Even better, Atalanta are completely satisfied by the offer, which includes €2 million's worth of appearance-based bonuses, one of which is easy, one difficult to earn.
Even Grassi is happy to move to the San Paolo, as he is appreciated by manager Maurizio Sarri.
Things aren't completely favourable to Napoli, however, as Atalanta have also received a €5.5 to 6 million offer from Fiorentina, which they shot down. Though Giuntoli wants to seal the deal as quickly as possible, Daniele Prade' may just throw his hat in the ring once more...
Alberto Grassi has impressed this season, and if he follows in the footsteps of Daniele Baselli and Giacomo Bonaventura, then Napoli will have come away with a complete steal.
