EXCLUSIVE: Zenit St. Petersburg scout Empoli star Riccardo Saponara
We’ve already reported that scouting La Viola’s manager Paulo Sousa was Mr. Van Stee’s main objective, but according to our sources, the Russian side have also used the trip of their representative in Tuscany to scout Riccardo Saponara, one of the finest offensive midfielders Serie A can offer.
The product of AC Milan academy has slowed down a bit after an impressive start to the season. The 24-year-old has scored five goals and registered eight assists in all competitions this term and will be one of the hottest commodities in Europe in the upcoming transfer window.
Saponara is also rumoured to have attract the interest of Serie A defending champions Juventus.
