Fiorentina demand huge compensation from Chelsea over Salahgate

Fiorentina want to demand Chelsea € 30 million compensation after that Mohammed Salah had failed to move to the Franchi on a permanent deal last summer, preferring a transfer to AS Roma instead, this morning’s edition of La Nazione report.

Fiorentina’s lawyers have calculated the amount taking into account the games Salah should have played for Fiorentina this season and the money they spent to sign Nikola Kalinic from Dnipro. The Croatian star arrived in Florence to replace the Egypt International.

Salah moved from Chelsea to Fiorentina on a loan deal with option to buy in January 2014, but when La Viola decided to make his move permanent last summer, the player decided to reject a transfer at the Franchi. According to the club, Salah had no right to do that, but the player’s entourage reply that a clause on Salah’s contract allowed him to reject a move to Fiorentina.
