Forget Bonucci, Manchester City are about to nab John Stones
According to the BBC, the Sky Blues have reached an agreement with Everton over the transfer of centre-back John Stones. The 22-year-old is set to move to the Etihad for a record £50 million (€65m), the most ever for a defender.
The Mancunian's new Coach, Pep Guardiola, has expressed his admiration for Bonucci on a number of occasions, recently saying before a Champions League tie with Juventus that he thought the world of the Italian superstar.
It may not be a coincidence that the two-time Champions League winner was ready to bid €55m for Bonucci (see above link) earlier this year.
