Former Chelsea starlet refuses to rule out Man Utd move

Lyon star Bertrand Traore has refused to rule out a move to rivals Manchester United, after having left Chelsea this past summer.

Traore, currently 22, played against Manchester United in the Europa League final for Ajax last season during his former side’s 2-0 defeat at Stockholm and even played a vital part in the club’s run to final of the competition.

After not being handed first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge though, Traore left Chelsea for Lyon last summer in a deal that costed the French club 10 million euros.

He was handed his first team debut at Chelsea by Jose Mourinho himself and the Burkina Faso international has refused to rule out a move to United, Mourinho’s current side.

On being asked by Onze Mundial about a possible move, Traore said: "Manchester United? Why not? I will work hard and if opportunities open, why not?"

Traore was also critical of Chelsea’s youth setup. He said: "I fought, I reached the first team. But, in Chelsea, for a player from the training centre, it's almost impossible to impose yourself as a starter. And I wanted to be a starter ... I'm proud of what I did there before I left.”
