Four Premier League clubs pounce on unhappy Napoli striker

Four Premier League clubs are interested in signing Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini, today’s edition of Il Mattino reports.

The Italian striker is being given short game time by Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri despite the injury of Arkadiuz Milik. Gabbiadini is supposed to be the main replacement for the Polish striker but Sarri usually picks Dries Mertens to play in place of the former Sampdoria star as false nine in the middle of Napoli’s attacking trident.

Gabbiadini’s lack of game time has eventually convinced the player to leave the San Paolo looking for a starter status somewhere else around Europe. The Italian paper claims that Everton, Stoke City, West Ham and Southampton would welcome Gabbiadini with open arms.

Stoke City are said to have offered € 18 million, but the Serie A giants demand € 23 million to let the 25-year-old striker leave Naples.

The imminent arrival of Genoa’s Leonardo Pavoletti, another centre-forward, has made Gabbiadini crystal clear that there will be no more space for him in Napoli’s starting XI from January and his departure during the winter transfer window comes as an inevitable solution.
