From Pogba to Iniesta and Higuain: every superstar snubbed from Ballon d’Or shortlist

France Football named the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or yesterday and although Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to win the award for the second successive year and for the fifth time in his career, there was lot of curiosity about who the French paper would have named among the 30 best footballers in the world.

Serie A have seen just three of their candidates included in the shortlist: Paulo Dybala, Gigi Buffon and Leonardo Bonucci, whilst Real Madrid are the club with the most player shortlisted: seven.

There have been, however, some huge omissions like Paul Pogba, Dele Alli, Arturo Vidal, Andres Iniesta and many others.
