From Spain: Barcelona alerted as Real Madrid open Coutinho talks

Liverpool star Coutinho is one of the most wanted footballers in Europe. The Brazilian star was chased by Barcelona in the summer transfer window but Liverpool refused to sell him despite the player had already reached an agreement with the La Liga giants.

Meantime the player has also been linked with a move to Psg with the Director of Football of the French club who reportedly met the player’s agent Kia Joorabchian in London last week.

According to Mundo Deportivo, however, there is an even bigger threat for Barcelona as Real Madrid have also opened talks to sign the Brazilian ace.

The Catalan paper claims the Champions League winners have approached Liverpool to discuss the possible signing of Coutinho in the summer.

Barcelona are determined to wrap up a deal in January, whilst Real Madrid are only interested in signing the player at the end of the season.

Cristiano Ronaldo urged Real Madrid to sign more experienced players in the future as he complained for the sales of Morata, James and Pepe. The Portuguese claimed new Real Madrid signings do not have enough experience and Coutinho will add plenty of quality and experience in the Real Madrid squad. Barcelona have been warned.
