From Spain: Morata’s Man Utd move ‘imminent’

Manchester United are close to signing Real Madrid star Alavaro Morata, according to reports in Spain. The former Juventus star has already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils who are believed to have agreed a € 74 million transfer fee for the talented striker who wants to leave the Spanish capital to get more game time.

Sport claims José Mourinho expects the deal to be announced tomorrow as Florentino Perez has given green light to Morata’s exit.

Zinedine Zidane hoped he could manage to keep the Spaniard at the Santiago Bernabeu but the player’s will to leave the club has convinced Real Madrid to sell the player to Manchester United although the La Liga giants expected to cash in a fee exceeding € 80 million for the 24-year-old who made return to his childhood club for € 30 million last summer after a two-year spell at Juventus.

Morata will join his former teammate Paul Pogba at the Old Trafford and his move to Manchester United is expected to be announced in the coming hours.
