Galliani, not Chinese buyers, to negotiate with Raiola over Donnarumma’s contract extension

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani will be in charge of negotiations for the contract extension of Gianluigi Donnarumma, today’s edition of Il Giornale reports. According to the Italian paper, the delayed closing date has not only caused AC Milan’s poor January transfer window, but is also leading to a very strange situation that will see Adriano Galliani negotiating the contract extensions of some AC Milan stars even if he’s going to hand his resignation in once the Chinese consortium complete the club’s takeover.

Galliani is going to enter new transfer talks with the player’s agent Mino Raiola hoping to find an agreement before the 25th of February which is when the promising Italian goalkeeper turns 18. The two parties have yet to find economic agreement as Raiola has requested a salary higher than just € 2 million-a-year given that his client is on the agenda of some of the best European clubs out there. Juventus, Chelsea and Real Madrid are said to be the most interested clubs in welcoming the player’s services and Adriano Galliani want to extend his stay at the San Siro for AC Milan’s good as Marco Fassone is going to replace him and become the rossoneri new CEO once Sino-Europe acquire a majority stake in the club.
