Genoa deny interest in departing Arsenal striker

After reports for the UK this morning stated that Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo would be leaving The Emirates this summer when his contract expires, comes reports from Italy declaring that a club who were linked with a possible move for the player, Genoa, have denied they have any interest in the 24-year-old Frenchman.
 
After reports in L’Equipe stated that the port club were monitoring developments with interest, Secolo XIX (via Calciomercato.com) has commented that the player does not figure in the plans of I Rossoblu.
 
Sanogo joined Arsenal in 2013 but has spent the past four season’s out on-loan at various clubs including Crystal Palace and Ajax and made his last appearance for the Gunners back in the 2014-15 campaign.
 
On announcing that he was to vacate his place in the dressing-room, Sanogo stated that; “Perhaps I haven't always done what was required to establish myself" before describing coach Arsene Wenger as a; “Great coach who has taught me a lot."
