    Golden Foot| Lothar Matthaus will leave his footprints in Monte-Carlo

     

    On 17 October, German football legend Lothar Matthaus will be awarded with the "Golden Foot" award in Monte-Carlo as one of the greatest players of all time. 
    Former German team captain, legendary player of FC Bayern Munich and FC Inter Milan will enter the Walk of Fame of international football, leaving his footprints on the Champions Promenade situated on the seafront of the Principality of Monaco. 
    Matthaus has an incredible palmares: World Champion (1990) and European Champion (1980) with Germany, 1990 Ballon d'Or winner and FIFA World Player of the Year in 1991, twice winner of the UEFA Cup and record holder for the most World Cup matches played (25 games in 5 editions). 
    Lothar Matthaus will receive the "Golden Foot" award for his outstanding career in football together with Italian legend Franco Baresi who already confirmed his presence in Monte-Carlo.
