Good news for Napoli: Aguero out 'for at least six weeks'

Fans who were expecting Sergio Aguero to recover soon are set to be disappointed by the latest report from the London Times.

The Argentine star is set to be out for at least six weeks after crashing his car last week in Amsterdam, at least according to Donato Villani, Argentina’s team doctor.

Visiting El Kun after sustaining his rib injury, Villani told reporters that Aguero would be out “a month and a half, minimum.”

The 28-year-old scored 176 goals and won two Premier League titles with the Citizens, but found his role under threat last season after Gabriel Jesus’ strong start. With  Kevin De Bruyne also playing a starring role, things could take a bad turn indeed for the Argentine sensation.

The former Atletico Madrid man’s injury is ‘worse than first thought’, which is good news for both Napoli - who are in the Mancunians’ Champions League group - and Arsenal, who would be in that six-week stretch.
