Just as Claudio Ranieri’s reign at Inter is falling apart, good news come from Barcelona regarding Pep Guardiola, who is by far Massimo Moratti’s favourite pick for the Nerazzurri job.

“I cannot work for such a demanding club if I don’t have the strength,” said Guardiola. “I need to feel up for it. If they can wait for me good, otherwise…”

The Nerazzurri would jump on the occasion to sign Guardiola, who has a special feeling for Italian football having played at both Brescia and Roma.

In the meantime, the duo Beppe Baresi and Luis Figo could take the caretaker job until the summer.

“I haven’t taken a decision yet and when I will do I will let the club know,” added Guardiola, who is not ready to commit to a long-term project at Barcelona.

Ibra’s advice for RVP

Robin Van Persie might have become the top name on Milan’s shopping list for the summer. And following Adriano Galliani’s comments, Zlatan Ibrahimovic advised the Dutchman to leave Arsenal.

“If you have been at a club for many years without winning anything, then you have to quit,” said Ibra.

“It’s too easy to play always for the same club, in order to be a world-class champion you need to try different things. I cannot tell Van Persie what to do but if I was him I would leave the Gunners straight away.”

Juve on Afellay? The Bianconeri are once again following Dutch winger Ibrahim Afellay. The Barcelona player is currently sidelined, but Juve are willing to make an offer for him although Liverpool are also interested.

Avramov signs deal: According to TMW, Cagliari and Vlada Avramov agreed terms on a new deal. The Serbian goalkeeper will sign a new contract until June 2014. “Vlada is really happy to extend his spell in Sardinia,” commented agent Meozzi.
