Gustavo heads to OM, prompts Milan to chase Man United target

Luiz Gustavo is set to move to Marseille, disappointing AC Milan, who will be driven to sign Manchester United target Lucas Biglia instead.

The Rossoneri weren’t the only Serie A side interested in nabbing the Brazilian international, with Inter and Juventus very keen last summer, though unimpressed at the hefty 30 million price tag foisted upon him.

The Brazilian is now headed to OM, L’Equipe confirming that he will leave for only 8 million. He is set to travel to France tomorrow for his medical, and to sign his deal.

The Rossoneri are back in for Lucas Biglia, as they need someone to play in front of the defence and distribute the ball with aplomb.

Cittaceleste recently wrote that Lazio's midfielder was being chased by Jose Mourinho.

Lazio are refusing to budge over Biglia, owner Claudio Lotito asking for at least 20 million.

This may force Milan to chase the… homonymous Milan Badel, who plays for Fiorentina and has long been agitating for a move away. He could be included in a swap including Andrea Bertolacci, who Fiorentina are known to like a lot.

Otherwise, Milan are left to chase Grzegorz Krychowiak, who is versatile and can play anywhere at the back, too. PSG sporting director answered a  Milan request for him a few weeks ago.
