West Ham could be on the verge of signing Joe Hart, according to Sky Sports.

The Manchester City goalkeeper spent the last season on loan at Torino, and revealed recently that he was likely to return to the Premier League.

Hart returned to the Etihad to find himself at the bottom of Coach Pep Guardiola’s pecking order: the English international finding himself behind Claudio Bravo – who was signed last summer to replace him – and Benfica sensation Ederson, seen as the Citizens’ future between the sticks.

Hart, 30, didn’t have the most convincing season on loan in Serie A, combining some energetic performances with an increasing amount of howlers.

Initially linked to the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, the Shrewsbury native quickly found himself dropping off their radars once the mistakes piled up over the final stretch.

Torino have gone in a different direction, going for PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu to replace him.
