Honda, the unsellable backup

Honda, the unsellable backup

Keisuke Honda has arrived at AC Milan almost three years ago, but he never became popular among the rossoneri fans, and also the managers that have been coaching him never gave him too many chances to play.

Even the Lombard team new boss Vincenzo Montella doesn’t seem intentioned to have the Japanese attacking midfielder start, as he prefers Suso.

Despite this situation, his’s jersey is the most sold in the World, and makes Milan earn €1,2 million per year. For his reason, the club considers the 30-year-old unsellable. By the way, the former CSKA Moscow man is an extremely able businessperson. Too bad that the rossoneri are paying him to play. Even for the next season, then, Honda risks to remain an unsellable backup.
