Ibrahimovic: 'I never turn down a challenge', a message for AC Milan?

Former Manchester United and AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that he was made to feel like Benjamin Button during his stint at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho. Zlatan joined Man United from PSG in the summer of 2016 on a free transfer and was United’s highest goalscorer that season. He later left for LA Galaxy last January. The Swede was recently talking to BBC about his time at Old Trafford and has revealed that United made him feel like Benjamin Button. He said:

"I come from another planet, my planet is called Zlatan Planet: something no one has ever seen. “I'm a boy from that area that everyone calls ghetto: they saw me differently, they did not make me feel welcome, but I showed them something different and now others follow me.

“Manchester United? When I decided to go to England I spoke with several players I knew before. Everyone told me not to go. They told me that it would not be good for my career because in England we are judged after just one season.

“If you do not do well, the first one will say that it is useless. These words triggered the challenge in me: it was what I wanted to hear. They thought I was old; then I, at 35, made the old Premier League look like. “It was a challenge and I never turn down challenges. The Premier should be happy that I did not go to England 10 years earlier, otherwise, his story would have been very different. United was the right team for me. The club and the shirt that I had to shine and I did it. There I felt like `Benjamin Button', I was getting younger every day. Then, unfortunately, I got injured.”

AC Milan are interested in taking Ibra back to Serie A and are considering the signing of the former Sweden star in the January transfer window. Will Ibra turn the AC Milan challenge down?
