Inter and AC Milan to battle it out for Lazio wantaway Candreva

Before Lazio’s Europa League clash against Galatasaray last Thursday, Antonio Candreva had never been benched for two consecutive games this term. Under this point of view, the Turk Telekom Arena game could have changed the future of the Italian winger forever.

According to this morning’s edition of Il Messaggero,  Candreva has not enjoyed his second successive bench and considers it an act of disrespect by his manager Stefano Pioli who had already preferred Lucas Biglia to become the team’s new captain instead of him at the beginning of the season.

The relationship between Pioli and Candreva seems to be damaged beyond repair, so much so the former Parma and Juventus player could be sidelined also against Frosinone.
The likes of Lucas Biglia and Felipe Anderson claimed the spot light alongside Antonio Candreva last summer as Lazio managed to get a Champions League spot at the expenses of Napoli. Claudio Lotito, by the way, rejected all the offers he received for his stars, but next summer Candreva ask to leave the biancocelesti side.

His contract expires in 2019 and everyone knows how difficult it is to negotiate with Lazio president, but both Inter and Milan are already in touch with the player’s entourage and will try to sign him next summer.
