Inter and Lazio battle it out for Man Utd defender

Manchester United’s Italian full-back Matteo Darmian has a contract expiring in the summer and therefore looks set to leave Manchester – having hardly featured for the Red Devils this season and very nearly leaving the club in the summer of 2018 to join Inter or Juventus. Both sides were interested in the defender but Man Utd priced them out of a deal and he remained in England for the time being.

Now, both Lazio and Inter appear to be the interested parties – looking for a deal to bring the Italian back to Italy at the end of his current contract – subsequently adding a lot of depth to either side. Inter may look to offload Dalbert if they are to move for Darmian; with West Ham United touted as a possible destination for the Brazilian.

Lazio, meanwhile, may opt to sell Jordan Lukaku if they are able to seal a deal for Darmian; another player who is linked to West Ham; the Hammers, as well as fellow Premier League outfit Leicester City, expressing an interest in the summer.
