Inter, Ausilio: ‘What Spalletti and Mourinho have in common’

Inter’s director of sport Piero Ausilio talked to Tuttosport to discuss the nerazzurri January transfer strategies. The executive of the Serie A giants denied that Inter will make a move for Arturo Vidal who is being heavily linked with joining Inter in the last few months.

“In January, we can’t make signings that aren’t financially supported by sales”, Ausilio said.

“We have already presented a plan to UEFA of our accounts, and if we do something then it will change all of our plans. We can’t go out on the market and spend €30-40 million, this applies to everyone not just Vidal.”

Inter’s director of football did also praise Luciano Spalletti who has recently beat José Mourinho’s record managing 29 points in the opening 11 games of the season, one more than what the Special One managed in 2009.

“They are similar managers, they have something in common actually. They both work hard, every day, to improve the quality and get better results.”
